The KTLN Kalkan Survey 2010/2011Kalkan Turkish Local News would like to invite you to take part in our third annual Kalkan survey.

It's aimed at people who visit Kalkan, or who have made Kalkan their home.  If that isn't you, please don't take part.

The survey includes a fun competition that you can enter.

We have 4 free passes (2 pairs) to the Dalaman airport CIP Premium Lounge, up for grabs!

We conducted the first survey around this time in 2010, when 388 KTLN members took part. Last year, over 400 participated.  If you would like to see the results click here: KTLN Kalkan Survey 2011

We are particularly interested to discover whether views of Kalkan have changed over the last 12 months.

Why are you doing this survey?
The purpose of the survey is to gather some basic information about the people who visit or live in Kalkan.  If you have views about any aspect of Kalkan life, now is your chance to have your say.

Summarised data will be shared with you, our KTLN readers, and also, importantly, with the Kalkan Belediye, who are keen to find out more about the people who visit the town. We think it is encouraging that they are interested to know what you think.

What will happen as a result of this survey?
We have always been honest about this. This survey is simply a means of gathering information that we think will be both interesting to our readership, and useful to the Belediye.

We wish to make it clear that none of the summary findings will be used to 'demand' things from the Belediye or others, on behalf of those who participate. This is purely an exercise in informing people: it is not a mechanism for promoting change overnight.

We can confirm that findings from earlier KTLN surveys have been discussed by Belediye Board members, in the past.

What about my privacy?
We guarantee your personal privacy. Individual answers will not be shared or discussed with anyone outside the KTLN admin team.

And nobody will be contacting you to sell you anything! You have our word on that.

You will note that in our survey we have avoided asking a number of personal questions, such as those relating to income, marital status, religion, race, gender etc. Further, no individual Kalkan businesses will be identified or mentioned in the published analysis.

Why do it now?
This is a continuation of our earlier surveys.  We would like to identify any changes in perceptions, and any emerging trends.  As our membership continues to grow, we hope we can get an even bigger response.

KTLN is in a unique position to provide some value adding analysis that many people will find interesting and useful.

Are you asking exactly the same questions as last year?
The survey is identical to last year.

When does the survey take place?
Right now.

Members have until midnight (UK time) on Sunday 12th February 2012 to complete the online survey.

How do I complete the survey?
To take part, simply click on this link, to go to the survey: The KTLN Kalkan Survey 2012 has ended

You have to be a registered member of KTLN to take part.  If you are not a member, and would like to join 4,900 other Kalkan fans, please click on the following link: Register with KTLN  It's free.

How long will it take to complete?
If you would like to take part, the survey should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes of your time. It's all done online, and is very easy to complete.

Please note that when you click on the submit button, if you are not automatically redirected to our Thank You page, you have missed something in the survey.  Scroll back up the page and any missing answers will be highlighted.

Who can take part?
The survey is designed for people who have visited Kalkan, or live there. If that's not you, we would ask you please, not to take part.  Other than that, any KTLN member can take part, however we are really looking for just one response per household.

Feel free to mention this to people who may not already be members of KTLN. They will have to sign up as members to take part.

We regret that we can only provide the questions in English, but members of other nationalities are welcome to take part.

Of course, this is entirely voluntary, however if you love Kalkan as much as we do, we hope you will give it a go.

Tell me about the fun competition!
Dalaman Airport

To encourage participation, we have a fun, free to enter competition.  We have 4 free passes to the Dalaman Airport CIP Premium Lounge, to give away.  (Their VIP Lounge).

The very last question in the survey is the competition question.  You must select the right answer, from a choice of A, B, C or D.  The answer to the question can be found on the KTLN web site, or you could just take a guess!

When you submit your survey answers, make sure you select an answer to the competition question.  (If you don't fancy it, it's not compulsory).  Everyone with the correct answer, will be entered into a draw, and two winners will be selected at random, to each receive a pair of passes.

For information, the Dalaman Airport CIP Premium Lounge offers a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks, including assorted sandwiches, hot chicken, chips, assorted desserts etc.  Alcoholic drinks are available, but must be paid for separately.  The air conditioned lounge also has comfy seating, magazines, international TV, and free access to the internet.

When will we see the results?
The resulting analysis will be published in February 2012.
