Several hundred people - children, parents and guests made their way down to the Çay Bahçe area, where a stage was erected close to the renovated children's playground, which is now looking magnificent, by the way. The children appeared to be enjoying themselves as they put on a number of performances on stage. The approach to the festival area was lined with exhibitions of work done by the school children. The Kalkan Ladies Group were once again on hand to provide refreshments, and given such a warm day, all the drinks they had were pretty much sold out. They raised around 1,000TL which will be used towards further playground improvements later this year. Here are a few photos from the day. KTLN members can see more in our Photo Gallery.

The sun was beating down yesterday, Monday 1st June, as the festival of pre-school education took place next to Kalkan Beach. All of the nursery schools from Kalkan, Kaş, Ova and Kınık turned out for the festival.
