The British Embassy in Turkey web site has been updated, and confirms that the new rules will be enforced, with effect from tomorrow, 1st February 2012. It has been delayed for some time, but the day of implementation has finally arrived. Anyone who has been staying in Turkey by doing quarterly visa runs will no longer be able to do so. If you currently have an old 90 day visa, that remains valid until the expiry date, and you can then apply for a new style visa if you wish.
