As an owner of a property in Kalkan, this site seemed an excellent way of keeping in touch, especially as for much of the year I am not able to be out there.

Antalya Police - Foreigners Department Questionnaire PDF Print E-mail

Antalya PoliceKalkan Turkish Local News would like to inform you about a project initiated by the Antalya Region Police Department.

It's called "They are our fellow townsmen", and they would like to hear from you.

They are conducting research to see what foreigners think about the service they provide, so they can identify where things can be improved.

As Kalkan is in Antalya region, they want to know what people in Kalkan think.

Complete the questionnaire
To this end, they have produced a 2 page questionnaire, which they would like foreigners to complete, and hand in to the local Jandarma station.

Copies are available at the Jandarma station, and KTLN is aiming to personally deliver a few over the coming days.  They would like completed questionnaires delivered back to the Jandarma station, within the next 7 days please, by 7th February 2012.

An excellent opportunity
Completing the questionnaire is not compulsory, however it is an excellent opportunity for you to let the Police know what you think.

Whilst the document speaks of the Police service, it also encompasses the local Jandarma, which we have in Kalkan.

What does it ask?
The questionnaire asks a few questions about you; about whether you feel safe; whether you have been the victim of crime; how you were treated by the Police/Jandarma; your experience of the Police Foreigners Department (for Kalkan people, that's the place in Kemer where you get your residency sorted), and various other related issues.

Please note, they don't ask you to provide your name, so you can feel free to say what you really think.

Not in Kalkan at the moment?
For those foreigners who are currently away from Kalkan, but would like to complete a questionnaire, we are happy to supply an electronic copy (MS Word).  Just contact us, and tell us your email address, so we can send you the document.

You should scan in your completed questionnaire, email it back to KTLN, and we shall be happy to hand it in to the Kalkan Jandarma for you.

Foreigners Department in Kaş
We have no wish to influence what you put in your responses, however, for anyone who would prefer to have a Foreigners Department in Kaş, rather than having to go all the way to Kemer, this may be a golden opportunity to ask the question.  Just a thought.

We think this is an excellent initiative.  We strongly support it, and whatever your views, we would urge our "fellow townsmen" of Kalkan to take part.

If you are reading this in Kaş, or any other part of Antalya region, please refer to your local Police office for details.
