I have apartment in Side. I use your site to get a feel of Turkey when I am in the UK. There is nothing like your site in Side.

We would like your help please to raise more money for The KTLN Trust.  We have come up with an idea that should be a bit of fun, and gives you a chance to get your hands on a few things that may enhance your stay in Kalkan.

Some of our friends in Kalkan have generously donated things that we can auction on the KTLN website.  You will see tomorrow a list of items that we will be offering, and all you have to do is bid for them.  Clearly, we would like to raise as much money as possible, but you may pick up the odd bargain.

Below we tell you when you can bid, how to bid and how to pay.  Tomorrow morning, Saturday 13th June, we will provide details of what you can bid for.  We will contact the successful bidders directly to tell them how to claim their auction item.

When can I bid?
The online auction will take place on the weekend of 13th & 14th June.  You can start bidding at 10am (UK time) on Saturday 13th June, and the bidding stops at 10pm on Sunday 14th June.

Online auctions tend to hot up close to the deadline, but we would urge you to bid as soon as possible.  The KTLN clock is the one that counts.  We make no claims as to its precision and we won't enter into any correspondence about last minute or last second bids that were not counted.

How do I bid?
For this weekend only you can use the KTLN Helpdesk instant messaging facility on the KTLN home page.  This is only available to registered members of KTLN.

All you have to do is type in the name of the item you are bidding for and the amount of your bid.  Nothing more and nothing less please.  For example:  ENES AIRPORT TRANSFER £50. Or LIKYA SPA TREATMENT £40.  The KTLN system will automatically show your user name, so you don't need to type that.

How do I pay?
Simply go to The KTLN Trust donations page (see Main Menu) and follow the instructions.  If for some reason you are unable to donate in the way suggested, please contact us and we will discuss possible alternatives.

As the items have been donated to KTLN, every penny you bid will go to The KTLN Trust, without any deduction by KTLN for administration.  However, please note that if you choose to use the Paypal facility, they do make a small charge.  We prefer you to use online banking to transfer funds, as no fees are charged for this.  See the donations page for full details.

The items you can bid for will be published before 10am on Saturday 13th June.  We hope that you will give generously and help to boost The KTLN Trust.
