Hello, good morning and welcome to The KTLN Trust online auction.  (Update: The auction closed on 14th June 2009).

We list below all of the items that you can bid for.  KTLN would like to sincerely thank the donor businesses for supporting The KTLN Trust by making these items available for auction.

We hope that you will have some fun with this online auction and find some things that you like.  If you are not in Kalkan this year, you can still bid and pass on any item you get to a friend.  Whilst it is only natural to think about grabbing a bargain, we would ask you to think about where the money is going, so please be as generous as you can.

Just a few general terms and conditions to tell you about.

• This is a UK based fund, with money raised going to a UK based bank account.  All bids should be in British Pounds please.  If it is easier for you to pay in Turksih Lira, we can make arrangements to deal with your payment, but your bid should still be made in British Pounds please.  If your bid is successful we can discuss an alternative method of payment.
• The auction for all items ends at 10pm UK time on Sunday 14th June.  The KTLN clock is the one that counts.  We suggest you get your bids in early and avoid last minute bids.  KTLN won't enter into any correspondence about last second bids that did not make the cut off.
• The highest bidder will receive the item, subject to payment being made within 7 days of being notified as the successful bidder.  Details of how to pay are shown on The KTLN Trust donations page.
• All items must be taken up in 2009, but please note that some will only be available in the tourist season.  For example, you can't take a boat trip in December.  
• You will be expected to co-operate with KTLN and the donor business to provide reasonable notice of when you would like to take up the item you have successfully bid for.
• If you can't take up the item you have won there is no cash alternative.
• You may pass the item on to friends or family if you are personally unable to take up the item.
• You must agree to have your name (or your User Name on the KTLN website), published in a Local news article on KTLN, telling everyone who has won the auction items.
• KTLN will notify successful bidders through the email address we have in our records.
• If you bid for an item you are signifying your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

How do I bid?
For this weekend only you can use the KTLN Helpdesk instant messaging facility on the left hand side of the KTLN home page.  This is only available to registered members of KTLN.  Not a member?  Register here.  It's completely free to be a member.

All you have to do is type in the name of the item you are bidding for (as shown in capital letters below), and the amount of your bid.  Nothing more and nothing less please.  For example:  ENES AIRPORT TRANSFER £50. Or LIKYA SPA TREATMENT £40.  The KTLN system will automatically show your user name, so you don't need to type that.

Last minute amazing auction item:  The owners of Vişne Apartment in Kalkan have generously offered one week's accommodation for two people at a mutually agreed date in the 2010 season.  The apartment is a 2 minute walk from local ameneties. 

You can choose any week that has not already been booked, (currently 4 weeks are booked out) - otherwise there are no restrictions.  The item you are bidding for is accommodation only - you must arrange your own flights and transfers.  Please refer to the following link for full details, including availability: Vişne Apartment 

This is an amazingly generous offer and we can only accept bids in excess of £100, (which is a fraction of the true value).  To bid, type in VISNE APARTMENT and the amount of your bid.

ENES AIRPORT TRANSFER
The Enes rent a car company has donated an airport transfer between Dalaman and Kalkan (one way only, either direction).  The offer is for a standard car, which can take up to 3 people and luggage.  If you are coming to Kalkan on holiday this year, this will effectively cut your transfer costs in half.

LIKYA SPA TREATMENT
Özdem, from the Likya Dream Spa has donated a treatment package.  You can choose from one of two packages.  Package 1 lasts for approximately one and a half hours and includes a Turkish bath, de-stress massage and a clay mask.  Package two lasts for approximately two hours and includes a Turkish bath, aromatherapy massage and a clay mask.  Why not pamper yourself or your loved one?

LIKYA RESIDENCE BREAKFAST
The Likya hotel restaurant has donated a breakfast for two people.  This is a magnificent buffet style breakfast, with just about everything you could imagine - including tea or coffee.  The Likya Residence & Spa hotel is the last word in luxury, so if you have not been there, why not treat yourself to breakfast in their outdoor restaurant overlooking Kalkan Bay?

YILDIZ 2 BOAT TRIP
The owners of Yildiz 2 have donated a fantastic day trip for 2 people.  A typical trip would see you leave Kalkan harbour at around 10am, returning at about 5pm.  You will visit a few bays close to Kalkan, and have opportunities to swim in the sea.  A wonderful lunch will also be provided.  You will have to pay for any drinks you may have.  Please note you may not take your own drinks on board.

As the boats need to sail to capacity wherever possible, you must be prepared to be part of a larger group.  The owners will do their best to provide the trip on a day of your choice but local weather conditions and general availability may mean you have to show some flexibility.

AUBERGINE RESTAURANT MEAL FOR 2
Aubergine restaurant has donated a 3 course meal for 2 people.  Take your pick from their extensive menu.  You can enjoy a fine meal in pleasant surroundings, overlooking Kalkan harbour.  All you pay for is your drinks.

ROAD TO RUINS BOOK
Tricia Emptage has donated a copy of her excellent book, The Road to Ruins.  The successful bidder will receive a copy signed by the author.  A wonderful read.

TUFANLAR OUTFIT
Tufanlar outfitters have agreed to donate a voucher for 100TL which can be spent in their shop. Virtually everything in the shop is hand made in Kalkan, and the business was subject to a recent KTLN article.  Click here to read.

KALKAN GYM 2 WEEKS
Need to keep fit whilst you are on holiday?  Kalkan Gym has donated two week's gym membership, for one person.  The gym is located in the Yalıhan centre, on the first floor, near the Çinar Bar and is well equipped to enable you to burn off those calories.

KALKAN TAXI TRIPS
The Kalkan Taxi Co-operative has donated 7 local taxi journeys - one journey per day over one week, to be taken before midnight.  The journeys may be up to 3 km. in distance, and would cover areas such as Kalamar Bay, Ortaalan, Kışla, Akbel and of course central Kalkan.  So if you are planning on coming into Kalkan town in the evening, here is your one week pass providing you with transport home (before midnight).

DUNYA ICE CREAMS
Dunya Ice Cream shop on Kalamar Road has donated 4 servings of their very tasty Italian ice cream.  Choose from their extensive selection of flavours.

VINALDI CONCEPT TOWELS
Formerly known as Oktay Mefruşat (Zeki Collection), on Kalamar Road, Vinaldi Concept has donated a bathroom set of 4 towels - two large and two small. 

EAGLES JEANS
Eagle, the owner of the Jeans Shop at the top of Hasan Altan Caddesi, has donated a pair of men's or ladie's jeans, of your choice.  Choose what you want from an extensive selection.

BULENT BUTCHERS BBQ
Thinking of having a BBQ this summer?  Well, this item is for you.  Bulent the butcher has donated a barbeque meat feast - 1kg of lamb chops, 1kg of köfte and 1kg of chicken. 

ILBAN RESTAURANT MEAL FOR 2
Ilban restaurant has donated a 3 course meal for 2 people.  This restaurant, famed for its home made cakes, has a rooftop terrace and is next to Garanti Bank on Şehitler Caddesi.  All you pay for is your drinks.

PARC KALKAN MEAL FOR 2
The restaurant in this new bon marche development has donated a 3 course meal for 2 people.  You can go along any day/evening, but note that on Wednesday evenings they have a traditional Turkish menu.  All you pay for is your drinks.

PARC KALKAN COCKTAILS FOR 4
The bar at Parc Kalkan has donated four cocktail drinks.  The surroundings are similar to a typical Istanbul street bar, complete with chill out music.  Why not chill out with your friends whilst sipping an exotic cocktail?

KIRTASIYE STATIONERY
Kirtasiye stationers, on the first floor of the Yalıhan development close to Kalkan Gym, is donating a voucher worth 75TL (£30), to spend in their shop.  Their stock includes stationery, children's toys, art and craft materials, bags and assorted gifts - a real Alladin's Cave.

LA SERA WELLNESS
La Sera Wellness Centre on Kalamar Road has donated a two hour treatment to revitalise your health and beauty.  The package includes a sauna, peeling (exfoliation treatment), a foam massage, a classic oil massage and a face mask.

C&C SCUBA DIVING
The C&C Scuba Diving boat in Kalkan harbour has donated a diving day for one person.  The package can be tailored to your experience, including those who are complete beginners.  The instructors are fully qualified.  If you bid for this item and are successful, we recommend that you are fully covered by your holiday insurance for this activity.

BLUE MARLIN JET SKI
Blue Marlin Water Sports has donated an exhilarating 20 minute jet ski ride in Kalkan Bay.  This can be one person for 20 minutes or two people for 10 minutes each.  If you bid for this item and are successful, we recommend that you are fully covered by your holiday insurance for this activity.

TRIO RESTAURANT MEAL FOR 2
Trio restaurant has donated a 3 course meal for 2 people.  Positioned overlooking Kalkan harbour, Trio has recently spread out a little with a new chill out area.  All you pay for is your drinks.

ILYADA RESTAURANT MEAL FOR 2
Ilyada restaurant has donated a 3 course meal for 2 people.  Ilyada overlooks Kalkan harbour and has sofas where you can relax after your meal.  All you pay for is your drinks.

SANDALS RESTAURANT MEAL FOR 2
Sandals restaurant has donated a 3 course meal for 2 people.  Situated at the end of Kalkan harbour, just down from Sarpedon Galleries, Sandals has an elevated seating area giving a good view of the whole harbour.  All you pay for is your drinks.

KAYRA RESTAURANT MEAL FOR 2
Kayra restaurant has donated a 3 course meal for 2 people.  Kayra now has the chef who used to work at Paprika restaurant.  They are located next to the harbour.  All you pay for is your drinks.
