Fantastic. It ıs so comprehensıve for local and national news, full of interesting articles, and has great links: a sort of one-stop-sıte for an english-speaking resıdent. And the layout is terrific.

The KTLN Business Continuity Plan swings into action PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 14 June 2009

All good organisations have a Business Continuity Plan, and KTLN is no exception.  So when a delivery lorry tore down our phone line last night we had a contingency plan for Sunday - the final day of our online auction.  The KTLN Business Continuity Plan is published in full below:

"In the event of a prolonged electrical or telephony outage, go to a restaurant or bar in town that has free WiFi".

This is a carefully thought out plan.  We hold drills, visiting several Kalkan restaurants and bars on a regular basis, so that we can ensure continuity of service to all our members.

However, we regret that we are unable to bring you the Kalkan Webcam until the telephone line at KTLN HQ is restored, which we hope will be Monday 15th June.

In the meantime, please rest assured that the KTLN Business Continuity Plan has swung into action and we will remain in the bar for as long as it takes today, so that we can keep you up to date on the online auction.

Please keep bidding and help us raise money for The KTLN Trust.  The trustees are meeting on Monday 15th June and it would be nice to have some more money to distribute to good causes.  Click here to see the list of items you can bid for.  The bidding stops at 10pm UK time tonight, Sunday 14th June.  Good luck!
