Originating from the Black Sea area this lively dance has become popular through commercials and its performance at football games - especially at Trabzonspor football club. Soon you can see this spectacular dance for your self as the Black Sea Boys (a group that also includes girls, by the way), comes to Kalkan. From Wednesday 24th June 2009, this dance group will be performing at Kalkan's No Name Bar, every evening during the main holiday season. KTLN understands that during the day some of the group will be on hand to teach people how to do the Kolbastı. The group are now famous across Turkey and come to Kalkan fresh from their sell out tour and TV appearances. It's fast and energetic, claiming to have faster footwork than Riverdance! So if you want to find out what the Kolbastı is all about and perhaps have a go for yourself, you know where to go. We apologise for the poor quality of the scanned flyer.
