Deniz BankAt Kalkan Turkish Local News, we are always looking to add quality content to our web site.

So we are delighted to announce that our friends at Deniz Bank Private Banking, have agreed to answer questions that you may have on finance and banking in Turkey.

In this introductory article they give an overview of banking services, and we explain how you can ask questions.

They can’t provide personal advice for specific customers, but they can answer questions of a general nature.

You don't have to be a Deniz Bank customer to ask a question, and any answers given will be generic, rather than specific to Deniz Bank.  Answers will be published on the KTLN web site - personal email replies will not be possible.

Please feel free to submit a question, via KTLN.  Here is their article.

Personal Banking in Turkey
Foreigners are free to open bank accounts, and to invest money in Turkey. There are many potential investment tools, each carrying their own level of risk.

For example, some people choose to invest in real estate, which should be regarded as a long term investment. Turkish banks can provide mortgages in different currencies to help people buy properties.

Others might need to keep their investments safe, with income protected from the risk of volatility in the Money Markets, by using fixed income tools.

Turkish banks can also help you with other types of investments, such as gold, Treasury bonds, Euro bonds, overnight accounts, stocks and shares, plus simple term deposits, in a variety of currencies.

Before investing, you should discuss your personal financial circumstances with your personal banker, so that you can be offered the most suitable product for your needs.

Of course, Turkish banks provide more than just investments and mortgages.  You can use them to swap currency, (foreign exchange transactions), and to move money from one account to another, including international SWIFT transfers.

And you get access to your account details through online banking, plus access to your cash through a network of ATMs.

Ask a question
If you have any general questions about banking in Turkey, you can send them to the Deniz Bank Private Banking team, via KTLN, and they will do their best to respond, in articles published on KTLN.

Please note, you must give your contact details, however these details will not be published on KTLN without your prior agreement.
