ShareIt is with some dismay, we must report that a number of gun shots were fired in Kalkan town centre on the evening of Tuesday 18th August.

KTLN has heard reports that there was some kind of argument or disagreement close to a number of local bars, during which 5 shots were discharged from a weapon.  Thankfully, nobody was hurt, although we understand that there was some minor damage to a nearby car.

We should stress that this is an exceptional incident, but nevertheless it is worrying to think that this could happen in Kalkan town.

The Jandarma attended and dealt with the incident, taking someone into custody.
