Dutch Theatre GroupGood news for lovers of live theatre.  Op Hoop van Zegen (Trusting our fate in the hands of God) is the name of a Dutch play that is to be performed in Kalkan and Yeşilköy, later this month.

On Thursday 22nd October, two performances will take place close to the Pinar Büfe, behind Kalkan Beach - the first at 8pm and the second one at 10pm.  Admission is free.

There will also be a performance the following night, Friday 23rd October, at the home of the Yeşilköy Theatre Group, starting at 9pm.

The play is by the Dutch writer Herman Hiejermans (1864-1924), and dates from 1900.  It will be performed by Hayal Creative Workshops, the same Amsterdam theatre group who brought this production to Kalkan three years ago, and members of the Yeşilköy Halk Tiyatrosu group.

Op Hoop van Zegen is a timeless story, set in a fishing village, and looks at the lives of the local fishermen.  This is one not to be missed, so make a note in your diaries, and enjoy live theatre in Kalkan.
