| Return of the Mosquitos |

| Monday, 16 November 2009 |
Share No it's not a new sci-fi film, it's what's happening in Kalkan right now.Mosquitos are back with a vengeance. This is probably due to the fact that the spraying contract has finished, and we are at the time of year where perhaps some villa owners are letting their pools turn into breeding grounds for these irritating pests. Whilst for most of us it's just a minor problem, some people can have quite a bad allergic reaction to these bites. No fewer than 5 such cases were treated at the medical centre yesterday. So if you want to avoid being bitten, the message has to be keep covered up and have mosquito repellant at hand. You can buy ammonia based pens from the local chemist which can be dabbed on insect bites to give some relief. And if you have a pool, please be a good neighbour and don't let it become a breeding ground for mosquitos.Share |
