| Kaş Road (D400) update 20th November 2009 |

Share Here is another brief update on the development of the D400 Fethiye to Kaş Road, which may be of particular interest to those with properties in the Kızıltaş area.In our local news article on Tuesday 17th November, we said that Mustafa Yılmaz, the owner of the Samira Deluxe apartments was funding the construction of two access roads to join up with the new, wider D400. We now understand that the funding extends primarily to the preparation of architects plans for these roads. Funding for the actual construction of these roads is still not clear. We apologise for not making this clear. On a positive note, the Antalya based architect is already working on the plans for these roads, and our sources tell us that they will be made available to Kalkan Belediye for their approval after Kurban Bayram. In our previous road report we also mentioned that Çitlik Sokak had been cut in two but was just about usable, with care. We can now report that this road is no longer usable, which makes access to the town more difficult. Some work does appear to be taking place on nearby roads, which may go some way to restoring better access. We will keep an eye on this over the coming days.Share |
