| Use old Turkish banknotes by the year end |
| Thursday, 17 December 2009 |
Share If you are coming out to Kalkan for Christmas and/or New Year, just a little reminder to make sure you check your drawers first for old Turkish currency. After 31st December 2009, it will no longer be legal tender. The old currency was called YTL, and banknotes are larger than the latest issue. You can see what the new notes look like by checking the Central Bank of Turkey website: This is what the new banknotes look like If you miss the deadline, don't worry. You can still exchange your banknotes at Ziraat Bank in Kalkan. Share |
