The new Ibo Kebab House opened today, a few days later than scheduled. 

It was a high profile launch, with lots of familiar Kalkan faces attending, including the Mayor, members of the Belediye Board, the head of the Jandarma, Dr Niyazi Öncüler and bank managers, to name but a few.

Apart from the VIPs, lots of other people turned out to wish the new venture well.  At the front of the building were the traditional floral arrangements from other local businesses.  See the larger photo below.

On your behalf, Kalkan Turkish Local News felt obliged to show up and sample the fayre.  We pride ourselves on our impartiality, so we won't specifically recommend it, however, we can say that Kalkan has got yet another eating place offering good quality food.
