One day art show Sunday 17th September at Bodamya Tepe restaurant PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 16 September 2017

Art showA small group of "Painting Friends," are holding a one day show and sale of paintings, pebbles, gourds and cards at Bodamya Tepe Restaurant, Islamlar on Sunday, 17th September from 12:00 until 17:00.

There will also be a group of paintings from Villa Cennet Bahcesi painted by renowned Turkish professional artists during a painting challenge there last autumn.

Hassan and staff will be on hand to provide any food that you may like to eat.

A few words about the artists.

LESLEY WEAMES
I moved from Surrey to Kalkan in 2004.  Photographs for my cards were taken whilst walking in the local area.  I have been pebble painting at Bodamya Tepe Restaurant for the last 2 years as it is such a peaceful and relaxing setting.

JEAN CORBETT
I retired from the pharmaceutical industry back in 2007 and decided to move to Turkey with my partner Andy in 2008.  I gradually got to know a lovely group of people and just recently became involved in pebble painting, as much for the fun & social side as the art.

ROSE SHUTTLEWORTH
Retired secondary school art teacher.  I moved from Cornwall to live in Kalkan in 2006.  My painting themes have been inspired by the richness of light and landscapes of Turkey, inner and outer.

HELEN MCLEAN
A self-taught artist.  I have spent many happy times in Turkey, especially in and around Kalkan.  My paintings are inspired by all aspects of this Turquoise Coast region, which the ancient Lycians aptly named "the land of light."

PATRICIA MILES
Has been a regular spring and autumn visitor to Kalkan for many years now and is an accomplished painter who links up with other painting enthusiasts whenever she is here.  She loves to experiment, has an excellent painting teacher in UK and natural themes feature regularly in her work.
