The first price increase of the year has already been implemented, and is a modest rise of 1.32%, for personal customers. However, more is to come. Many analysts are predicting that electricity prices may rise by as much as 20% in 2010. LPG prices are also set to rise significantly. Here is a table comparing prices as at 1st April 2009 (when KTLN was launched), and 1st January 2010. The price is the basic price per kilowatt hour (Kwh) in kuruş. It excludes certain standing charges and tax, but nevertheless, the table does give you an idea of how much prices have changed in 8 months.
Households can opt for a three tiered tariff, where the charge differs at different times of day, or you can elect to pay a standard rate all the time. KTLN members can find out more about this, plus money saving tips, in our Knowledge Bank: Electricity article Share |
