We have been asked to let our readers know about a special event taking place in Kaş on Monday evening.

It's a fundraising meal at the Grida restaurant in Kaş, in aid of a local British resident who is receiving treatment for cancer.

The lady in question is called Soo (correct spelling), and she used to run what is now called the Grida restaurant - opposite the old Greek church, in Kaş.

Over recent years, Soo has been battling against cancer, and every other week she has to travel to Antalya for chemotherapy treatment.  Quite apart from the physical and emotional challenges, this treatment costs money, so Soo's friends want to raise some cash, to help out.

The meal is at 7.30pm on Monday 15th February, at the Grida restaurant in Kaş.  The restaurant owner Erkal, is a good friend of Soo's and has agreed to hand over cooking for one night only to another friend, Shireen Weston, who is a master chef, when it comes to Indian cuisine.

The cost is 25TL per head.  Of the 40 places, around 30 have already been booked, but they would love to fill all the places, and raise as much as possible for Soo.
