I joined KTLN for the local news.  It's great to keep in touch with what is happening throughout the year in Kalkan, especialy when it is cold and wet in England, gives me something to look forward to.

Lycian WayIt is ten years since the world famous Lycian Way, (in Turkish, Likya Yolu), was established by Kate Clow.

It stretches for over 500km from Ölüdeniz to Hısarçandır, near Antalya, and conveniently for Kalkan lovers, passes right by our door.

To celebrate ten years of Lycian Way walking, Terry Richardson, who was closely involved in marking the route with those familiar red and white stripes, has written an excellent piece for Today Zaman.

You can read that article by clicking on the following link: Today Zaman article

If you have not walked on the Lycian Way, you are really missing out on some spectacular views and a chance to see authentic Turkey.

And if you are coming to Kalkan, there is no better place from which to explore the Lycian Way.

KTLN members can read more about local walks in our Knowledge Bank, in the 'Things to do' section.
