It has been an interesting 'post auction' morning.

We had a phone call from a KTLN member this morning, who was disappointed to have missed out on the meal for 2, on board the Kalkan Regency's boat, Poseidon.

He then made us an amazing offer.

If we could arrange another two places on board the Poseidon, he and his wife would take the sum we raised over the weekend, from £1,474.01, up to £2000.

So we called Vicky Küşat, from Exclusive Escapes, who kindly helped us to get the initial donation.  She spoke to the owners, Nuri, and Masuda Tomanbay, and they agreed to provide another two places.

So now we can say that the online auction has raised £2,000, which is truly remarkable.

We would like to once again, thank everyone who has made a contribution.  It says something about Kalkan people, and their generosity, that we can do this. 

But then again, if you have been to Kalkan, you don't need us to tell you that.  You know that it's the people that make Kalkan such a special place.
