The winter waves pound the beach, driving the stones back, and leaving a steep incline into the water. A digger is required to undo the work of mother nature, and even things out a little. See photos below. Well, at least we think that's what is happening. Perhaps it is one of the diggers from the D400, that made a break for it, and is taking a well earned rest, and some time out on the beach.

You can tell that the main tourist season is around the corner, when the Belediye digger is deployed to reclaim Kalkan Beach.
