The Mayor and other leading Kalkan businessmen were there, but none of the cyclists stopped for tea and a chat. Below: Better than being at school - children practice their waving technique, before the cyclists arrive.
Below: The school band, waiting patiently.
Below: The Mayor (white shirt), shares a joke with Barış of the Nur Hotel (left), and Soner, the manager of Akbank (right).
Below: Here comes the leader of the pack, followed by a convoy of motorbikes and cars.
Below: Cyclists in third and fourth place speed through the junction.
Below: The pack - or if you are a keen follower of the sport, the peloton, in hot pursuit.
Below: More cyclists pass through. If you look closely, you can just see Süleyman at the back, pulling his rickshaw along.
Below: Standing well back - Kalkan onlookers at the roadside.
