Water cutsWater Alert: Earlier this month we brought you news of a planned water cut in some parts of Kalkan, due to the work on the D400 highway.

The cut was due to begin on 17th April, however for reasons we don't understand, this never happened.

Well now it has.  According to the Belediye, and as also reported on Kalkan Haber, a Turkish local news website, water will be cut today, for an anticipated period of 22 days - that's up to 20th May.

The areas that will be affected are listed below.

    * Kışla
    * Kömürlük
    * Club Patara (but see below)
    * Ulugöl

It is not clear to us whether the Belediye will provide water tankers to alleviate the shortage.

If you need to buy water in bulk, you can click here for suppliers in the KTLN Business Directory: Bulk water suppliers
