As widely expected, the rate of inflation in Turkey went up slightly in April, with a return to double digits.

The annual rate (CPI) increased from 9.56% to 10.19%.

Food and fuel have been major factors in this increase.  The figures are also affected by last year's temporary tax cuts, which were introduced in March, and withdrawn later in 2009.
