ShareIt has now been officially confirmed that the CHP candidate, and owner of the Fener Bar, Saim Karakurt is to form and lead the new local administration in Kalkan.

The voting could not have been any closer, but the challenge to the result has been adjudicated on, and the winner declared.  Which means that the Mayor can now build his team, develop his plans and focus on the next 5 years.

KTLN will bring you more on what these plans are, and in particular how they may impact on the non-Turkish community.

In the meantime, we wish the new Mayor and his team every success, and as they say in these parts - kolay gelsin.
