Youth & Sports DayWednesday 19th May, (tomorrow), is a public holiday in Turkey.  It is Youth & Sports Day (Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı).

In the morning at 9 am, there will be a ceremony down by the Atatürk statue in town.  Following this, there will be a number of activities taking place where the Thursday market is held.  Anyone is free to join in the celebrations.

If you have a Turkish flag, why not fly it to mark this special day in Turkey. 

Please note that all banks and the Belediye will be closed on this day.
