A day in the life is great to get to know our Kalkan neighbours and there is so much more. Mainly for me it's the Ten Seond Turkish - you've made it easy for us, so THANK YOU.

WebcamUpdated Saturday 22nd May.  A few things to tell you about.

The latest KTLN webcam, live Kalkan town exchange rates, the KTLN Feedback Box, our Business Directory, and the KTLN Treasure Hunt.

Town webcam No 2
Sorry for the delay in getting our second town webcam up and running.  If you would like to know where it is to be located, and see a photo of what we expect the view to be - read on.

We have the camera, we have the cable laid, but we are not happy with the outdoor weatherproof casing, so we have ordered another one, which we hope to have in place later this month (May).

But seeing as this has dragged on a bit, the least we can do is tell you where the new camera is going to be.  The location will be on the top floor of Coast @ Gironda, on the front corner, looking down Hasan Altan Caddesi, towards the sea.

If we get the camera pointing in the right direction, we expect you to be able to look down the main street, past Kalamaki restaurant, towards Cafe del Mar, and we think you should also be able to see at least one of the islands in the bay.

Here is a photo, taken in the evening, which gives some idea of what we expect to see.  This was taken by a KTLN member, from a spot close to where the webcam will be positioned.  It is not a webcam image.

KTLN Webcam 4

KTLN respects the privacy of people walking in Kalkan town, and by having the camera so high up, we expect that it should not be possible to identify individuals.

Thanks to Ömer and the guys at Coast @ Gironda, for their help and support.

Town Exchange Rates
We are pleased to tell you that the live 'on the street' exchange rates from Yardan Jewellery, and Infinity Jewellery are back on our home page.

The KTLN Feedback Box
We would appreciate your co-operation on what goes in the feedback box.  This facility is something available to members who are logged in to KTLN.

Our FAQ page tells you what this facility is all about.  One thing it is not meant to be is a general chat area or forum, so we would respectfully ask members not to use it to ask for general advice, or suggestions for where to stay or where to eat, etc.

Business Directory
We try to keep this as up to date as possible, but sometimes we get it wrong.  So if you spot a mishtake, or an omission, or       , or if you have a question about the details shown, please feel free to drop us a line, using the Contact Us tab, at the top of the web page.

Treasure Hunt
Finally, an apology.  We had planned to have a couple of treasure hunts in place for the start of this season.  One was to be a walking route around Kalkan town, and another was going to be a driving route, of approximately 2 hours duration, in the Kalkan hinterland.  They were just for fun - no prizes!

Due to unforseen circumstances - i.e. a torn achilles, it has not been possible for me to do this.  So unless I find a volunteer, quickly, it will have to wait until next year.  Sorry.
