Bins in KalkanGood news.  Kalkan Belediye has ordered a number of rubbish bins that will be placed around town.

The first ones have already appeared.  KTLN spotted the one below on Kalamar Road.

We understand that there will also be some special bins dedicated for glass waste, placed at strategic points around town.

This appears to suggest that recycling has arrived in Kalkan.  We will find out more about this and let you know.

Of course, bins are a great idea, as long as they are emptied and are placed sufficiently high to be out of reach of street dogs.  We are not sure a cat proof bin has yet been designed.  The one in the photo below is sited next to a tree, which provides easy feline access.

Below: The bin outside Bread & More.
