The focus appears to be especially on scooters and motorbikes - over 80 have been confiscated since the crackdown began, last week. Some have since been returned, upon production of the relevant documents. Amongst other things, they are checking for tax, insurance, MOT (Turkish equivalent), legible number plates, and personal driving licences. And the Jandarma are set to continue for some time yet, so our advice is to make sure that if you are on the road, you have all your documents with you. Share |
