KekovaIf you are a regular visitor to Kalkan, the chances are that at some time you have enjoyed a trip to Kekova.

But this charming coastal village, less than an hour's drive from Kalkan, is under threat.

Local residents face the prospect of having their homes torn down, following a ruling by the Turkish Ministry of Culture.


According to the Ministry, many properties lie within a protected zone, and should never have been built, and must be demolished out of environmental concerns.
