It was also quite breezy, which resulted in a hair drier effect, for all the 'mad dogs and Englishmen' venturing out in the midday sun. The ground was so hot that flip flops, or some other suitable footwear was required, as walking barefoot by the pool, or on the beach, was a painful option. The forecast shows that temperatures should come down a little over the coming days, but by the end of June you can expect things to hot up once more. Remember, that if you are using air con units to keep cool, it's best to keep doors and windows closed. Incidentally, another sign that summer has arrived is that Kalkan's schoolchildren break up for their summer holidays today. |
