I like the recipes, the exchange rates, information about local people, events and anything to do with travelling to Turkey is important. And of course, the webcams.

The junction for the new road will be close to the existing Patara junction, but slightly further along, (in the direction of Ova) - just the other side of the small shop. The road will run parallel to an existing water channel, and will go to the outskirts of Patara village, to a location where there is currently a large cleared area, adjacent to a left bend (driving towards Patara). It is intended to have a junction here, possibly a roundabout, and also a large car park. Widening of the existing road to Patara was considered, however this would have been technically more difficult, and more expensive. The new road will be just over 2 kilometres long, and 10 metres wide. With reference to the grand opening of Patara's renovated parliament building on National Sovereignty & Children's Day, Kalkan Turkish Local News will bring you more details in due course. It's going to be a big occasion, with heads of state and other VIPs from all over the world jetting in. Make a note in your diary now, for 23rd April 2011. Below: The lighthouse at Patara.
