Kalkan skiesWednesday afternoon brought some very interesting skies above Kalkan.

We had been warned to expect stormy weather, but fortunately the eye of the storm did not pass directly over Kalkan.  However, there was much to look at, out to sea.

The photos below show a forming tornado, (or more precisely, a water-spout), and also some impressive clouds, bathed in the red hues of a setting sun.

Many of us love Kalkan for the warm and sunny climate, but even the cloudy days bring something special.

Below: A photo from Fatih Tunaly, (of Al & Tu Tours), showing the water-spout.
