Share And finally, we have it on good authority that the appeals process has been exhausted and the election result is final. Saim Karakurt is the new CHP mayor of Kalkan. He begins work tomorrow, Wednesday 8th April. At around 1pm (not 2pm as you may have heard elsewhere), there will be a gathering near to the old Belediye building (near Bezirgan's Kitchen) on Mustafa Kocakaya Cad. which will walk down to the statue of Atatürk on Atatürk Cad. where the new Mayor will pay his respects before getting down to work. Members of the public, Turkish or otherwise are welcome to go along. The KTLN team wish the new Mayor and his team well. Share |
