Updated 24th August:The special low prices, reported below, have now been withdrawn.

Kalkan Turkish Local News has been advised of some new fixed taxi prices, for certain tourist destinations.

We show you the details below, together with a link to our article on Kalkan Taxis, in the KTLN Knowledge Bank.

That article contains useful information that will enable you to calculate what your charges should be, when traveling locally, by taxi.  It also contains advice on what to do if you feel you have not been charged correctly.

The new fixed prices, for a one way trip, are as follows:

Patara Beach - 4TL per person

Kaputaş Beach - 2TL per person

Saklikent Gorge - 8TL per person.

N.B. Prices apply where there is a minimum of 4 people traveling from the Kalkan taxi rank.

We have also been advised that for a group of 6 people traveling, the same prices will apply from your hotel/villa/apartment.  In other words, you don't need to go to the taxi rank.  We advise you to ensure that this price is agreed when you make the phone call to book your taxi.

The Kalkan taxi association has confirmed that any return trip, for the same number of people, will be charged at the same rate.  If you find that the taxi driver does not agree to this, you should take his details, and raise a complaint at the taxi rank, as explained in the article mentioned below.

The article mentioned above can be found here: Kalkan Taxis
