As an owner of a property in Kalkan, this site seemed an excellent way of keeping in touch, especially as for much of the year I am not able to be out there.

Kiss FlightsYet another holiday company has gone bust.

Kiss Flights, and the wholly owned subsidiary Flight Options, ceased trading at 5pm today, 17th August 2010, according to reports on the BBC and Sky News.

The companies specialised in trips to Mediterranean countries, such as Turkey, Greece and Egypt.

The Civil Aviation Authority, who operate the ATOL scheme is dealing with stranded holidaymakers.

They have said that the 13,000 people currently overseas should be able to continue with their holidays, and will be brought back to the UK.

About 60,000 people have booked holidays, but have not yet departed.  If you have booked with Kiss Flights or Flight Options, to travel before 6pm on Wednesday 18th August, you are advised to go to the airport as normal

If your flight is after this time, you will need to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (license 4233).

If you are affected, check the ATOL website or call 0161 444 5811 (from overseas - 0044 161 444 5811).
