Kalkan BaywatchKalkan Belediye is aiming to get Blue Flag status for the town beach, in time for the 2011 season.

One of the many things they will have to do is demonstrate that they have life guard facilities.

It is intended that the Belediye employee who deals with sunbeds and parasols will be given training, as a life guard.


The Belediye has already taken delivery of some basic life guard equipment, and it is intended that this will be deployed soon, rather than waiting until next year, when the training course has been completed.
