Kalkan libraryThe Kalkan library (kütüphane) is moving.

Back in November 2009, KTLN told readers that Kalkan had a library, underneath the Belediye offices.

Very soon, it will be relocated to the old Belediye building, opposite the taxi rank, where Deniz Bank used to be.

Naturally, most of the books are Turkish, however there are some in English.  And if you would like to donate some books to the library, they would be very happy to receive them.

Anyone can use this facility.  All you need is some identification - we suggest your passport.  Books can be borrowed for 15 days.

The Kalkan municipality library opening hours are as follows:

Sunday & Monday: closed

Tuesday to Saturday: 8.00am to 12 noon, and 1pm to 5pm.
