Kalkan Mayor, Saim Karakurt is hosting a visit by the Mayor of Cupramontana, Fabio Fazi, and a number of businessmen. The Italian visitors have four full days in Turkey, and will depart from Dalaman airport early on Monday 6th September. On Thursday the visitors walked through Kalkan market, before meeting local officials at the Belediye offices. They went on to have lunch by the harbour, and then returned to another harbour-side restaurant for dinner in the evening. Friday was spent in Antalya, and included a visit to a museum. In the evening they ate in a local hotel, where there was a Sicilian Evening. On Saturday, there is a visit to Likya Wines, in Elmalı, and historical sites in Patara, whilst on Sunday the visitors will go on a boat trip. Accompanying the guests from Cupramontana for some of their stay, is Italy's Ambassador in Turkey, Carlo Marsili, and his wife Selva. In the photos below, you can see the Cupramontana delegation on their way to the Belediye - no doubt picking up a bargain en-route.
