KTLN is the first thing I Google when I open my computer in the morning. It is the best way to catch up with what is happening in Kalkan. How did I manage before it existed?

Friday, 10 September 2010
ShareFIBASports fans will know how fanatical Turkish football fans are.

But another huge sport in Turkey is basketball.  In fact, many of the country's big football clubs, such as Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have sister basketball clubs.

If you are in Kalkan now, you may have noticed many TVs tuned in to the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) World Championships, which are currently taking place in Turkey.

And the good news is that the Turkish team is through to the semi-finals.  Tomorrow night (Saturday), Turkey will play Serbia for a place in Sunday night's final.

The other semi-final game is between the USA and Lithuania.

To read more about the competition, you can look at the FIBA website.
