Turkish FoodNever let it be said that visitors to Kalkan don't know a thing or two about food.

If you are a Kalkan regular you will know that this is the best place to get 'fed on the Med'.  The KTLN Business Directory currently has 128 places in the Food & Drink category.

Lonely Planet has just published a useful online article on Turkish eateries and we would recommend taking a look.

Here is the link: Lonely Planet Guide to Turkish Eateries

The KTLN team has dined out in many countries, from 'posh nosh' to authentic curry, eaten with no cutlery from a formica top table, and we still maintain that of all the places we have been to, Kalkan is sokaks ahead, in terms of ambience, quality and value.

We may not have any Michelin stars, but to quote the Mexican bandit from Blazing Saddles, "Badges!  We don't need no stinking badges".

(For any movie buffs out there, we know what you're thinking.  The quote above was originally from the book 'The Treasure of Sierra Madre', and the 1948 film of the same name, starring Humphrey Bogart, and directed by John Huston.

But in fact, it is a mis-quote from Wind in the Willows, first published by Kenneth Grahame in 1908, when Mr Toad is discussing party invitations with Mr Mole, and exclaims "Badgers!  We don't need no stinking Badgers").

But I digress.....
