I joined KTLN for the local news.  It's great to keep in touch with what is happening throughout the year in Kalkan, especialy when it is cold and wet in England, gives me something to look forward to.

Safter barbersHere is our second and final What's New for 2016 - looking at changes to non food and drink businesses.

If we receive any further information about changes, we will update the version of this report in our What's New section

So, in no particular order, this is what we have heard.

The landmark that is Safter's Barbers has had a bit of a makeover.  Located outside the post office this little row of businesses had been under threat of closure but things seem to have settled down now and so Safter has decided to spend a little money on modernisation.  For all you traditionalists who are right now breaking into a cold sweat at the very idea of change please rest assured that it still has a cosy feel and a spectacular view.

Article updated 28th April: Kalkan breakfastHere we are again.  The start of another season is just around the corner.  Where did the winter go?  Well wherever it went, we are glad to see the back of it.  Kalkan was very wet this winter, and if that wasn't enough to dampen our spirits we also had a dreadful fire down at the harbour.

But it's time to look forward to sunnier and happier days, and to let you know about the changes you will see in Kalkan when you come back this year.  You will find the facts here - no gossip.

There is so much to tell you about.  In this first report, we bring you news of the changes to food and drink establishments that you can expect to find, upon your return.
