Mango restaurantWith the tourist season well and truly here, we give you our final round-up of new businesses in Kalkan for 2011.

Another new restaurant has opened on Kalamar Road.  Mango restaurant, (above, right), is being run by Ayhan, who was one of the waiters at Trio.  It is located next to Kaptan Wine & Tapas.

Gourmet restaurantThe old Ibo Terrace restaurant in the town centre, has been renamed Gourmet, by the new owners.  (See photo, left).

A new baklava emporium has opened called Baklavacioğlu - under Pisces restaurant, on Mustafa Kocakaya Caddesi.  They also sell ice cream, and fruit drinks.

There is a new cafe by the harbour.  Mutfak Turkish Cuisine is located between Sandal restaurant and Blue Marlin Watersport.  It is going to be serving traditional Turkish food, cakes and cookies.

A new place to eat has just opened next door to Cafe Leon.  It's called Cafe Ist.

Out of town, up at La Vanta, they have a cafe bar that is open to the public.  It is run by the guys from Marina restaurant.

For those wanting to go sailing in Kalkan, the Villa Mahal Beach Club has taken delivery of a new Topper sailing boat, to complement their existing two Laser sailing boats, and windsurfing boards.  The Lasers are for 1/2 people, whilst the Topper can be sailed by 1 person, or up to 4 people.  Sailing lessons are available.  No sailing qualifications are required to take out these boats.

AdrenalineAdrenaline is a new business offering various activities to get your pulse racing.  You can arrange quad bikes, sea kayaks, canoeing amongst other things.  It's opposite Vesta Properties, and next to Yalı Bar on Hasan Altan Caddesi.  (See photo, right).

Kalkan has another transport company.  Kalkanlılar Transport is on Kalamar Road, between Mango restaurant and Kaptan Wine & Tapas.

If coming to Kalkan inspires you to get a holiday tattoo, or you fancy having bits of your body pierced, you may wish to visit Devil Doll Tattoo & Piercing, on Kalamar Road.

Kalkan has another gift shop.  The Angel gift shop is located between Ignite Bar and the Zinbad Hotel, just round the corner from Adda Tours. 

Bar Street in KalkanDown 'Bar Street', in the old town, the Belediye has created a footpath, with some new steps, so that you can walk from the Bar Chocolate end, down to where Ignite Bar is.  (See photo, left).  Note - Boaters Bar Code appears to have closed down.
