ShareFor the fourth consecutive year Çalış is to hold a Christmas Fair on the beach front.
This has turned into a popular annual event, attracting thousands of people from Fethiye and surrounding areas.
There are expected to be lots of stalls, selling a variety of goods, including festive items, arts & crafts, and all manner of food - locally produced vegetables, mince pies, chutneys, etc.
Father Christmas will arrive in his "sleigh" at about 1.00 pm accompanied with his elf helpers. He will then take up residence in his grotto outside the Nicholas Homes office where for a small entrance fee, children will be able to meet him and receive a gift.
So if you fancy a day trip out of Kalkan, to stock up on Christmas goodies, why not go along.
All money raised from the stall fees, along with sales from the various Carnival committee stalls, will go towards the Çalış Carnival charity, helping disadvantaged children in the local area.

or ring 0535 8554919 or 0536 3739520. Each stall (2 tables width) costs 15 TL including table hire (same price as last year). Recognised charity stalls will be allowed one stall for free. Businesses who wish to display a small advertising sign will be asked to contribute a further 5 TL.
