KTLN has discovered an interesting web site, which shows wholesale fruit and vegetable prices in our area.
The links below show prices in Antalya, and more locally, at Yeşilköy. Whilst all of us do of course pay the retail price for our fresh produce, it is interesting to see the price paid by the retailers. |

Most of us come to Turkey by plane. In fact, a Kalkan Turkish Local News survey showed that 85% of visitors to Kalkan, fly in via Dalaman airport. But have you ever wondered where those trails of white across the blue sky above are going? Well if you have, we have found just the website for you. Flight Radar 24 provides a 'live' radar view of most planes flying over Europe, including Turkey. It provides information such as the speed, aircraft type, destination and a superb map complete with plane trails. To see for yourself, click on the following link: Flight Radar 24 You may recall that we have also brought to your attention a similar website, but for marine traffic. To check out what ships are sailing in the sea off Kalkan, KTLN members can go to another of our Totally Trivial Turkish Titbits articles. TTTT3- Shipping Details

This article was rewritten in February 2012, when we introduced the Kalkan Town Location Code, or KTLC, for short. Prior to this, we had a map image, showing different areas of Kalkan. However, the KTLC is much more accurate, and we recommend taking a look. Here is the link to the KTLC home page: Kalkan Town Location Code If you would like to see it in Turkish click here: Kalkan Şehir Yerleşim Kodları Kalkan Turkısh Local News - your window on Kalkan Turkey.
